The Independence Day of India was celebrated on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the Saraspur campus of Saraswati Vidya Mandal. National Flag was unfurled by the chief guest Dr. Namrata Upadyay, the Education Inspector of Ahmedabad district. Students and teachers of the schools at Saraspur campus enthusiastically participated in the function.
The handball team of J.N.Balika Vidyalay was declared the winner in the Ahmedabad district level under-19 school games. In the final match of the tournament, it defeated the team from Diwan Ballubhai school 1-0. Eight players from our school are selected for the state level team. On August 3, 2018, 12 students of Sheth A.H.Saraswati Vidyalay were felicitated in presence of the chief guest Shri Jyotindrabhai Dave and the principal of the school for their achievements in various academic and extra-curricular activities. Various scholarships were also given away to deserving students.
On July 13, 2018, the principal of Sheth A. H. Saraswati Vidyalay administered the oath of office to the newly elected Students’ Assembly for the year 2018-19 including the secretary Shri Mahipal Vaghela and the joint secretary Shri Yash Parmar. Shri Jyotindrabhai Dave was the chief guest of the function.
Elections to the students’assembly of J. N. Blaika Vidyalay were held under teachers’ supervision on June 7, 2018, with a goal of inculcating values of democracy in the young minds. Saraswati Kumarshala-2 celebrated the Parents’ Day for the academic year 2018-19 between 12:00 noon and 4:30 PM on August 6, 2018. Parents of more that 76% of the school’s students enthusiastically participated. They discussed the academic and overall progress of their wards based on the result of the first test examination.
