Very significant participation by past students in the management of the institution is one of the distinguishing features of the institution. In fact the key persons- the secretary and the joint-secretary of the trust- responsible for day-to-day operation of the institution are alumni of the school with no family ties with the founder. This unique feature testifies to institution’s guiding principles of dedication and selfless service. All members of the trust and the executive council work on strictly honorary basis and  do not draw any remuneration from the trust.

Recognizing its dedicated service to the community, Government of India has granted tax exemption under section 80G of the Income-tax act to all donations made to SVM.

Each of the individual schools of  SVM is headed by a principal who in turn is assisted by the faculty.
